Harvest

Filmed in East Yorkshire and Paris in 2006.

Wind turbines are both calming and disturbing. They harvest power on the remnants of farmland, which in most cases is still used to harvest grain or livestock. Power generation now shares land with agriculture. This piece was made in response to Wired by Adrian Symes, where electricity pylons share land with agriculture. Seeing energy generation and agriculture exist side by side paints a futuristic vision.
